Join us in the forest for a wilderness retreat where you’ll experience meaningful connection with other women while learning outdoor skills!
Our small group of women will be staying 3 nights at Cascadia State Park, nestled in the lower Cascade mountains along the South Santiam River!
Your host, Danee, will be your guide as you learn about your natural environment, reflect on yourself, and create new friendships! Danee has an educational background in natural sciences, works in public service, and is a trained yoga instructor with a passion for bringing people together in nature.
Accommodations: We’ll be staying in a group campsite, with plenty of room to spread out several tents. There is also the option to camp in your vehicle in the adjacent parking. We can have a maximum of 2 RVs in our group site, so if you prefer to bring yours, include that information in your registration. Otherwise, bring your sleeping shelter and bedding. Restrooms with flushing toilets and sinks/soap are located close to the campsite. The campsite is relatively flat and has one large fire pit, shady trees, and several picnic tables. Access to the river is by stairs or steep trail.
Food: A light breakfast, picnic lunch, and family-style dinner will be provided each full day (including dinner on the first day and breakfast on the last day). You are also welcome to bring your own meals and snacks, if you choose. Accommodations for gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian/vegan can be made – please be sure to include this information with your registration.
Extracurriculars: Bring your favorite camping comforts, extra clothing layers, water bottle, hiking shoes, day backpack if you like, and yoga mat if you have one. Firewood contributions are welcome. While we are animal lovers, please leave your pets at home.
We want to lessen any barriers that keep women from enjoying the outdoors. If you don’t have the proper sleeping arrangements or shelter, please email us directly and we’ll figure out a way to get you camping!
